Original granite pilings were discovered after we tore down the 20th century enclosed sun porch. They informed the construction of the main entrance porch. Peter Lord, master plasterer is at work and we had an accumulation of efflorescence (not mold) from the plaster due to our very humid summer. Tony Castro, painter and muralist visited our project and agreed to create a Rufus Porter style mural for the foyer. Our long-standing bar debate was finally settled when we realized that we have a reproduction of a colonial cage bar - the bar stays in the carriage house. Cheers!
